A healthy and strong spine is essential to full-body health as well as emotional well-being. Yoga can be a wonderful and effective way to bring awareness, strength and flexibility to the spine. In this 90 minute workshop, we will discuss the basic anatomy of the spine, common back problems plaguing so many in our modern culture, and how and why a simple yoga practice can help both alleviate common problems and prevent future ones. Using precise alignment cues as well as the support of various props, we will complete a well-rounded practice that you can take home to continue on your journey to maintaining a healthy spine. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners, however participants should be able to get up and down from the floor without difficulty. Cost: $35.
